Violets are Blue

Hey everybody!

Today's outfit makes use of the lovely spring weather. I have been pleasantly surprised by the current temperatures in Dubai. We have not hit triple digits just yet! That said, the temperature is still quite warm and a fun, airy dress helps keep cool. I particularly like this dress because of the jingly metallic detailing near the collar and on the waist. Since the top portion is a lovely puce color, I added on accessories in the same purple family.

Christmas 2012

Hey everybody!

I've had a lovely day with my family opening presents, eating food, and enjoying each others' company. It's really fun seeing cousins and other relatives after being away for most of the year. One of my family traditions is to open presents at midnight, and Christmas Eve is just as important as Christmas Day. The downtown area is all lit up this time of year, so I took some pictures by the lovely lights.

Obviously, I'm very rebellious in nature.

Military Prowess

Hey everybody! Today's outfit takes inspiration from one of the many fall trends, military clothing. I think the whole military trend is pretty cool, and makes good use of the dark green or khaki fall colors. The main piece of this outfit is the military inspired button down which I wore with a tank top. I chose to keep the jacket open, since the shape when it was buttoned up wasn't all that flattering. On my bottom half, I stayed simple with black pants and shoes.

Pop of Plum

Hey everybody! Today's look is very autumnal. I kept the main pieces dark and sleek. I recently picked up the star patterned sweater, and I'm officially obsessed! It's extremely soft and such a nice fit. The pants are a leather/ fabric mix. The sides are lined with stretchy fabric to allow for extra leg room. I added in color with the scarf and purple handbag. I adore the plum toned handbag, and I love how it fits all of my stuff.

Neon Salmon Pants

Hey everybody! Today's outfit is something I'd wear if I were feeling more formal. The button down satin black shirts gives a polished vibe. I really like the gold accent on the collar. The black bag and shoes add to the uniformity. The neon pink pants are tailored and nice (they're not jeans!) but show off a lot of personality. They're a shockingly bright salmon color, almost impossible to look away from!

Fuchsia Fusion

Hey everybody! Today's outfit is fun, and a bit more formal than I usually wear. The obvious star of the  look is this neon fuchsia button down! It's practically impossible to look away from! Since I didn't want to detract from the fabulous color, I kept everything else simple with black accessories.

Navy Polka Dots

Hey everybody! The star of today's post is this adorable navy blue button down shirt. It's a lovely fit, and has polka dots! I added on an indigo clutch to complement the cool tones. I also threw on a pair of old gray jeans that I haven't worn in years. I can't for the life of me, remember why I stuck them in the back of my closet! To complete the outfit, I stuck on a pair of mid-toned gray oxfords.

Song of the Day: Lessons in Love by Neon Trees

Red Lips & Cheetah Print

Hey everybody! Today's post is centered around these awesome cheetah pants that are fabulous for fall!  They're a darker wash, so the print is more subdued. I added on black and white accessories, so as not to overwhelm the look. I absolutely adore the gold studding detail on the collar of the shirt, because it matches well with the gold accents on the flats. The only pop of color comes from my bright red lips Overall, I think this look is very chic and put together!
